The trunk, however, is more like a bad joke. With the top up, it's a meager 10.3 cubic feet, including a small compartment under the trunk floor, which is partially taken up by the tire inflator kit. With the top down, trunk space (a term I use loosely) shrinks to a tiny 2-cubic-foot slot that makes the Pontiac Solstice look like a Volvo wagon. What does Infiniti expect you to put there? Socks? A couple of pens? Memo to Infiniti: People like to take convertibles on road trips. Good thing the back seat is useless for people, because you're going to need it for your luggage... or your groceries.
You ever seen the trunk on a Solstice? It's not just a joke, it's ridiculous.
I think G37 vert is stupid. Anybody who buys one is a narcistic douchebag that knows nothing about cars.
The G37 coupe is a very nice and capable automobile, but to bastardize it by stapling on a convertible hard top is height of stupidity. Leave it alone. Don't placate the douchebags by building the G37 vert.

What really gets me is the Solstice coupe/targa with no place to store the top. All other targas as far back as the 1960's found a way to carry the top with you. 40 years later and GM can't find a way to design a targa with a place for the top. Even in my 1978 Fiat X1/9, a tiny car, was I able to take the top with me. And it didn't take up any room in the front trunk.
