All the other forums have Homepage with their car of the month on it...I want one of those

think youre the first one thats thought of this? there are a bunch more threads but i couldnt find them. it doesnt work.

 

I actually posted a topic about "post the nicest looking rx8 you've ever seen". They had similar threads on ClubCivic and it was a cool place to look for the cleanest Civics.

but you dont search so you wouldnt know,,,

I don't like the idea. Things like this causes jealousy and drama on the site. And it's immature.

 

how does it cause jealousy..u cant be mad because ppl dont vote for you...

because it just becomes a popularity contest not neccessarily for the car but for the personality behind the car,,,

Kinda touching on what TopGear said, most of the contests that have happened that you refuse to go and study to see why they failed, became **** slingling contest and more often than not were filled with people sayin ", "need a drop", "put clear corners on" "ehhh not my cup of tea" cliched statements,,,
Everyone has an opinion and in this circumstance those opinions are best left out of it,,,

Popularity contest are for prom queens,,,

 

Not to mention there is not enough good examples of 8s to keep this going. But who knows this could motivate people to add tasteful mods.

I'm with the majority on this one. Most of the time, the car of the month looks just like the previous car of the month, just a different color. Usually it's all the same cars that are in the "Aggressive Wheels" thread that every site has as well. I like the multiple random galleries better.

 

I agree i like the random pics of everybodies cars. Car of the week might be better so it has to not be the same cars but different colors or whatever. I just think car of the month will be a popularity contest and people will post look at my car its the best and people will get annoyed. Just a thought ha ha

I am not going to try and bash you for starting the thread, cause it doesn't hurt to brainstorm with other members. After debating the pros and cons, I think it would just end up creating problems. We already have enough drama on here:

 

Maybe if the winner could not ever win it again. But it still seems to bring drama... who knows though

yeah too bad its a lot of people lol i would not care one bit if i didnt win but i know some people are so serious about stuff like this. I just think that the RX-8 club is original for not having a car of the month

Lol indeed. We could have an RX8 Girl of the month. (guy of the month for the ladies if we need to be PC) That would be fine my book.

 

^Or we could just look at everyones girls in the hotwives/girlfriends thread and always get to have the chix changed up on daily/weekly basis!!!
