new RX-8 owner (well, used car though lol)

So my 04 Tiburon GT got destroyed in a wreck (2 tibs down in 2 years! sheesh) newaz I was lookin around for something different I could afford w/the payout and saw the 04 RX-8 has excellent resale value. I got a really good deal on the Grand Touring model w/Nav. (which is friggin sweet) with only 48k miles! So I noticed the low end was pretty crappy so I read some intake mod diy's on here, took out the VFAD, and the walls in the OEM housing, 1st MAF screen, and air filter and replaced it with the Weapon-R CAI (just filter part) taken off the Tiburon, and guess what....PERFECT FIT! It's flush mounted to the lip on the inner tube and when I clamp the box down it holds in perfectly in place. I couldn't have lucked out any better! So with the VFAD off I'm getting more air into the OEM box and with the Weapon-R filter my gains doubled I swear. It feels like my old 6-cyl!

Now I'm experimenting with a Xylene/Toluene/Acetol mix to boost my octane and see if I can get some more MPG out of this puppy!
