AZ Moving to AZ

I'll be a AZ member soon. I live in Michigan now but will be moving to AZ by the end of the year. Thinking bout moving to either Gilbert, Mesa, or Chandler. Can you guys give me any input on these areas? I have been doing research but it's nothing like hearing it from ppl who live there. Im 34 married with kids. Dont want to live in BFE but dont want the big city life either. BTW cant wait to buy another sportbike once i get there. I sold my bike here when i bought my rx8.

Well. Another transplant. You will love AZ. It always sunny and warm.

Anyway if your looking for a place to live I would suggest Gilbert or Chandler. Either of those are great places. Mesa in some parts is good too.
Plus you'll be right by all of us BHR guy's. If you need any more in depth information on any thing, don't hesitate to PM me. I'll get the info you need.
Look forward to seeing you when you get here. We should all get together.

I would I agree with the other person who posted that Mesa has some good areas but some so so areas. Gibert or Chandler are nice areas. Scottsdale is nice too! The school systems are better in Scottsdale if you have kids. I would say stick to the Easy Valley, nothing against the West Valley (some of my best friends are from the West Valley) It just seems easy to get to everything when your a little east. The valley has grown sooo much in the last 5 years, it's unbelievable!

You're welcome to PM me too if you'd like. I've lived in Mesa, Chandler, Scottsdale and Phoenix.

P.S Don't forget the Car Show every Saturday night at The Pavillions in Scottsdale, located in the McDonald's parking lot on Indian Bend Rd. I think there is one in Mesa too but haven't been. Good luck with your move!

Thanks for the info guys. I wish i could leave now! I like the houses I've seen in Gilbert so far. Is Queen Creek also nice? I've always hated cutting grass, its going to be nice not to worry about that anymore.

I'm amazed at the lengths people go to here in Phoenix to grow grass. You have to water it several times a day and still mow the crap.

Give me rocks and boulders for a front yard any day!

Queen Creek is BFE! If you want a 30+ mile commute just to make it to Chandler and another 10-15 to Phoenix and 75 to Glendale. DON"T DO IT!

Stick with Gilbert or Chandler. Check out Ahwatukee too.
