FS. Rocky Mountain Radar/Laser Detector - Combo: C450

I'm selling my Rocky Mountain Radar RMR-C450 Combo Radar+Laser Detector+ Scrambler.

I used this detector for about 2 years and was pretty pleased with it. Some false alerts, but range was good and while I can't speak for the ability to scramble police signals or laser, it did seem to buy about 3-4 seconds of extra time before those "check your speed" radars would get a read on me. The speeding tickets I did get while I had this unit were because I thought I was in a 65 zone when it was either 55 or less.....

I have the power cord, suction cups and mounting bracket, all in very good condition. Cord was long enough to run under the passenger seat to the rear power outlet and not get wires all over the place in the RX8.

PRICE: $70.00 USD plus 10.00 for flat rate box shipping with USPS anywhere in the U.S. So... total price $80.00 SHIPPED
and, even though I hate it... through paypal only unless local pickup.

These units are not legal in some states... you have been warned.

I have a good guy thread!

A combination of reasons. First, I bought a motorcycle, and that has changed a lot of my driving habits: both on the bike and in the car.
I'm driving the 8 less because of the motorcycle and starting to Autocross the 8 and keep the wear and tear off of it.
Lastly, I bought a winter vehicle that has a top speed below most speed limits (95 Ford Bronco) its taking up time and money...

the 100 bucks I will get from this will buy me a Herculiner kit for the Bronco.

The biggest problem with this unit, in my opinion, was that it claims to jam laser and make your car invisible to police, etc. That isn't true. In my observation, like I said, it just seems like it takes a radar longer to get a good reading.
The range is excellent, the volume of the alerts was good enough to hear over the stereo and windows open. Worth 250 bucks... probably not, but I think its a very good deal at 100 bucks (plus 10 bucks shipping and handling.)

"Don't' mean to thread crap, but I'm going to. . ."

I received this little guy as a gift 2 years ago. My boss got them for all the company trucks and gave me one. Worked fine for my applications. Good 360 degree protection and good range. But why trust a guy that used it for 2 years?

Can you believe everything that you read online?
