I negotiated chrome wheels for $1000 ugrade including 4 wheels and installation incl. Pretty good deal huh? Hopefully they will be in soon.

Also thinking of painting my brake calipers red to match Mica Red RX8. How much heat do calipers develop? Sent my rotary accents and fender strakes to chromer too.

So you are chroming your power coated factory rims or you just traded them in? If you are chroming them do you think you could hook me up with guy who is doing it? Im down in fort lauderdale

 

I am not chroming them. My deal with the dealer was $1000 to upgrade to chrome. I would be surprised if they could be chromed for less than 6-800 each. Chroming aluminum is a tricky process compared to brass or steel or SS. My 4 fender strakes and 2 rotary emlems for front and rear were $160.

If the dealer does not supply the chrome rims in the next 2 months my deal was $1700 cash back to purchase aftermarket on my own.

Great choice with the chrome, and a great deal! My dealer let me keep the original wheels along with the chromes. See if they'll do that for you, although you won't need them for snow tires like I did!

 

Please post pics when they're on. I am especially interested in the chrome strakes.

 

here in Texas, i am getting mine factory rims chrome, for 930.

 

Good price. Have you gotten them yet? I thought $1000 to upgrade from stock was a good one. I just have to be patient as my dealer is worthless in CS dept.
