Why buy a reg 370 at 40k, when you can buy a Nismo ver at 40k (jking)

i guess we are looking at 45k-50k for this car.

Nissan's Specialty Vehicles Group NISMO will start providing examples of its new NISMO 370Z to interested customers in North America. This second-generation NISMO Z is based on the 370Z but true to NISMO form more horses were required to make it a proper package.

The car now makes 350hp (257kW) and maximum torque of 276 lb-ft (374Nm). Coming along for the party is the 6-speed manual gearbox with SynchroRev Match which simulates heel-toe downshifting. Fitted to help with takeoff and handling is a Viscous Limited-Slip Differential. To stop the car from its tracks are Nissan Sports Brakes.

Looks and performance are enhanced with kit like special side sills, a fully integrated chin spoiler and an extended nose.

For running gear NISMO chose five-spoke 19-inch RAYS forged aluminium alloy wheels. Accompanying rubber is a foursome of Yokohama ADVAN Sport Y-rated high performance tyres.

The interior features red and back fabric with red stitching, a smooth leather steering wheel, a leather-wrapped gear lever and aluminium foot pedals.

The NISMO 370Z has an MRSP of US$39,130 which excludes the only three options: NISMO carpeted floor mats (US$115), a carpeted boot mat (US$95) and illuminated kick plates (US$200).

Without seeing in person, I don't think that looks bad at all. The nismo body kit looks more fitting on the 370 than it did on the 350. But for 45-50 grand, I'm looking at used Caymans or something.

The rear spoiler reminds me of the 911.

I like it as well, in person the fender flares are huge!

Nissan is still being strict about letting me drive a regular 370Z. The three dealerships I have been to tell me unless I am serious to buy,(basically approved for a loan or cash in hand) they won't let me test drive it, but all of the dealers I have been too don't mind if I test drive there 350Z/Nismo version.

The 370Z is a nice sports car , but its not that nice. Nissan can be ****** about there cars sometime. I can go to a Mercedes dealership and test drive a CL63 AMG no questions asked (which was a mind blowing experience), but I can't drive a 37k sports car from Nissan???? Sorry about the rant , low end dealerships always send me off the deep end.

True,

However, the real reason is that the stocks are extremely low since Nissan stopped production.

Yes, the ugly fangs are gone. Wing is too big for me though. I like the new 370Z better than the outgoing 350Z.

Love that car. The NISMO version just takes it to another level. Was following one on the freeway yesterday, and was in awe of how nice it looks.

Great looking, but still not worth 40k, IMO. Depreciation on the 370s will be a joke. If I wanted one bad enough I'd just wait a couple of years and pick up a used one for around half that.

I used to love that 911 spoiler, so nice!

I like the nismo version better though, especially the back of it.

I would imagine if you were shopping for one of the rarer 370z's you'd keep it for quite some time instead of selling within 3-6 years

I guess I said that because some dealerships see this as gods gift to cars...the same dealerships that still have '08 NISMOs they can't get rid of. I think Nissan and some of their dealerships really overestimate the number of people willing/able to shell out $40k for a car considering current market conditions - limited edition or not.
