own a rx8 manual? You may qualify for the govt cash for clunkers should the bill pass. automatics combo mpg is 19, manual is 18...the cut off for the program. love your rx8 keep her for life but if you felt the need to trade her in the maybe wait to see if this bill passes.

Doesn't the car have to be a certain age? The RX8 might be too new to qualify?

Not a good deal. The rx8 goes to the junkyard and gets destroyed, and $4,500 goes to the dealer on your behalf assuming your new vehicle is 23 mpg combined.

You would get more money just selling the rx8.

Better yet, keep the rx8 and not loose any money.
