Speakers/bass problem?

Hello again,

Ok, so I got my car fixed (finally) in the dealership,, paid about a 1k.. anyway, there was an old problem started when I moved to CA. First of all, when I got my car shipped here, the person who shipped it f***ed up the battery by accidentally switching the the negative and positive wires which caused a DISASTER. Alot of fuses were gone. So, I received the car the other day, and the AC and the radio didn't work, so I took it to this place, and that when they told me that the person who tried jump up ur car screwed it.

So, I got everything fixed. However, now there is a weird problem going on. Lets start with the front speakers. Sometimes the driver side one shut down and the passenger side works perfectly, and then suddenly they switch back. and sometimes they just work fine. I discovered that when the driver side stops working, I hit it and sometimes it responds and works. Got a question here, is the bass separate from the speaker? are they two different things? cause sometimes the speakers work but without bass.

The rear speakers do the same thing regarding the bass, but never stop working.

Any thoughts?

Take it back to the dealer. They broke the radio.

razz lets try to be a little more helpful. nobody it sounds like your amp was fried by the cross connected battery or jump attempt. you'll probably need a new amp

Thanks a lot, is there anything I can do to test if it's the amp or not? cause buying a new one is quite costly, and I don't wanna make the same mistake when I changed that starter and it turned out it wasn't the starter's problem
