Hey fellas, did a basic search and didnt see much so figured a quick thread would take care of it. Movin to Cali soon, I have the Greddy Sp2 exhaust and the RP Supercat. Also have 30% tint on side windows, i know cali law says must be 70%, but it wont hinder getting the car registered will it?

Has anyone had issues passing smog with this exhaust/cat setup?

Any crap from LAPD/CHP for exhaust note?

I just throw my front plate up in the dash, they particular about this?

Maf forward is okay (filter or cold air or short ram whateer, as long as the MAF is still there)
Cat back is okay (test pipe not allowed. Cat must be there, anything behind must be under 95db)
ANY tint on the front window is illegal, but that has nothing to do with registration.

And the front plate needs to be mounted

 

Mount the front plate unless you like $100 tickets.

I have 35 tint and no front license plate. No problems so far in OC.

 

or be like me and keep ur car registered in texas,drive up there once a year for its registration and safety inspection (instead of that crap emissions) and i also drive without front license plates,don't get beat up for it either,except for once,it was late at night tho,im sure they assumed i was sum street racer punk..but wutever

 

first day i drove to socal i got busted for tint, but thats just my luck
