Is there any way u could ask the reps info on performance like 0-60, 1/4 mile, braking distance, etc.

Ironically, there were no specifics regarding performnace. On eof the reasons I belive is that they are still "tweaking" the engine. One of the brochures states "provisional" horsepower. We'll have to wait and see.

Also, around the 17th of this month, there will be extensive "ride and drives" by invited press in california. This should generate a lot of reports in all our favorite magazines.:D

 

Oooooo so hopefully we can get a glimpse in March issues of the mags

 

I would say May or June issues, right around time the car hits the dealers. Dan from rotarynews.com is attending to test drive the car at Seca also. Being one of few rotary-heads in the crowd of journalists, I'm sure he will have much to absorb and divulge when he is allowed to, depending on if there is any time-restricted confidentiality agreements the press must sign.

 

It's a good point.. Mazda will probably want to have the articles come out when their ad campaign begins.

 

maybe between the cars that were at miyoshi and these ones they will have enough for "clive's" race series. seems like a good home for them once the media is done beating on them:D

 

i would not be surprised to see several reports after Laguna. This time with the cars will be in a controlled environment.
When magazines are given cars to go and test on their own is when we will see the really detailed objective and subjective information.
I hope Laguna creates a lot of excitment for the invited press and that we see soem good stuff soon after.:p
