I saw my new chrome 18" wheels at the dealer today, but I have to bring my original summer tires in to have them put on. The dealer desctibed them as kind of a "dark" chrome, and that's what they look like. Very nice looking, with some kind of clearcoat over the finish. I just happened to stop by there, or I would have brought my camera to post a photo. I lucked out paying $390 each; the price is up to $800, but Mazda honored the pre-order price. If I scratch one of these someday, I may never forgive myself. Interestingly, the protective rub strip on the sidewall of the OE tires is actually more pronounced than the one on the Blizzak LM-22's. Good thing, just in case.

I have factory chrome rims too but they're not dark at all. I've heard people talk about dark chrome but I've never seen it. Sounds cool. Please post pictures!

 

How much would it cost to chrome the stock 18's?
