MS motorsports doesn't talk to MNAO.
Few guys in this area had their cars registered and never had issues getting warranty work done.

Jedi is correct.

I've never had any problems with warranty work. I've been a member of Mazda Motorsports for almost 1 year and I've sent them at least a dozen of my results from this season.

P.S. My only warranty issue to date has been the sun visors (both).

so i guess the real question is, has anyone autocrossed regularly, sent the results in to MS motorsports, and then had a transmission replaced under warranty?

I have autocrossed and sent results regularly on my 07. Last fall they rebuilt my transmission under warranty. Got no grief from the dealer at all...

RX8 owners are fortunate to be able to participate in the Mazdaspeed program. The benefits are many, but the key ones are contingency money, parts discounts and S plan pricing on new cars.

So, when running an RX8 at an event recognized by Mazdaspeed as a "contingency event", those that win, place or show are eligible to collect contingency money...which requires that you send in the results, along with a photo showing your car with the required Mazda/Mazdaspeed decals, as "proof" of your accomplishment.

The only ones who are going to get their picture in Mazda's promos are guys like ULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOSE, who have won a number of events (a very large number, in his case) and show their support for Mazda.

You sign up, not your car. They ask what you are racing, but not for your VIN. We bought our RX-8 with an S-plan pin from Mazda Motorsports, they knew what we were doing from day one, never had any issues.

They do not award money for them, but they count as your two events per year.

Natl Tour or ProSolo pays $200 (well it has for the last 10+ years that I have been a member - should be the same this year).
