Exclamation Spark Plugs

Tried searching the forums but really couldnt get a clear answer but does anyone in Texas, San Antonio, Austin area know where I can get replacement spark plugs for my RX8? Obviously the dealer is crazy asking almost $200 for them....I've looked online but ordering them takes a lot of time and I'm in crunch.

Thanks for your help!!!

how quickly do you need them?

look at www.onlinemazdaparts.com and http://www.finishlineperformance.com...cat=273&page=2

maybe 2nd day Air??? Still cheaper then the stealership that quoted you $200

yup, 40,000 miles or so is normal on a rotary. These plugs go through a lot more abuse then a standard piston engine.

How is the car running? When do you need the spark plugs by?

BHR and Atkins have or had really good deals as well. I don't think you are going to find much local to Texas in terms of affordability compared to the vendors via the net.

Man, I had a 87' RX and never remember changing the plugs this early...lol

She's running really bad...almost like she's choking on me. Sometimes she runs great and then she bogs down and I get almost a complete loss of power and close to shutting off. Soooo....I kinda need them....ASAP.

I'm gonna try cleaning them and hope that helps...but I fear that with the symptoms that this wont really help.

maybe it's not your plugs but your coils.

I hope not cause that's even more expensive than the plugs...lol

Guess I got some work ahead of me this weekend to try and figure it out. How long do the coils last, "normally"?

finally got it fixed.

standing at the driver side wheel, the coil all the way to the left was bad.

Made it to mazda just in time (they were about to close) and got the coil. Money is tight right now, so I'm gonna have to wait to change out all the plugs, coils and wires.

thanks for the great replies....

When I walked into the lobby of the dealer, my jaw dropped....check it out.....
