Purchasing new tires
Purchasing new tires
I know this topic has probably been discussed to death, but I wanted to know if anyone here has had any experience with the Yokohama S-drive. I want to go from the stock 225/45/18 on my 06 RX to the 245/40/18. Tirerack.com gives the a pretty good review. Any comments?
There is also a section made just for wheels, tires, and suspension
yeah i would try to post in the wheels/tires section but personally i have never had yokohama just hear they are great but don't wear too well cause they are so soft I went to 245's in the rear and kept the 225 in the front Falken 452's (which are great and a good price also) but I do really like the BFG G-Force KDW 2 they look sick...

Yokohama S-drive
I plan on purchasing a set of Yokohama S-drive tires this week in 245/40/18 for use with stock rims. I have been running the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 in same size for last 3 years (3 sets over 36 months). Absolutely loved the Eagle's but they have been discontinued in that size.
I am also replacing brake rotors and am leaning toward a set of PowerSlots from Racing Beat. Anyone have these or any thoughts on same?
Looking forward to new shoes and will provide feedback on same once installed.

I really really recommend them for a daily driver tire, and they still hold up well with occasional autocross as well.
35k miles on a tire? no way you are driving aggressively, maybe spiritly XD, i was in a friend's car that i consider "aggressive driving." his tire won't last him a year and i hold on for dear life from time to time.
he practically treats the world as autocross... but what am i to say to him, lately i've been practicing hard late braking on the streets lol

oh god, if you are practicing, do what my friends do, pick up some used tires from your local tire shops, they sell em cheap and you can run them to death. most drift events have tire mounting service for like 15$ i think
