Swap Out Cloth w/ Leather
I'm wondering if anyone has done a cloth to leather swap from a dealer. My last RX8 was a 2004 and had leathers from a 2006 model. Anyone have an idea of the cost?
personally, I'd go aftermarket leather done from an upholstery shop. The leather on the older models is fake and not that great either. Haven't checked out the newer model so I can't comment on that.

They did a great job with my 2004; the leather is still in good shape and it's a daily driver.

aftermarket leather can be had for under $1000.
And it is real leather, not "leather trimmed". Most cars today only have a tiny amount of leather on the side of the seat, that way they can legally be called leather trimmed

The stock center panels are real leather. The bolsters, sides, backs & door panels are vinyl. The aftermarket seats are the same, but better leather and the side bolsters are leather.
I can vouch for Classic Soft Trim as well. I love my seats. If you go with single color seats or maybe through a dealer, you might get the seats for $1000. Add different colors, stitching, perforations, logos and the cost goes up. If you know someone who does auto upholstery, you can order the covers and DIY. Katzskin is another aftermarket company
