Popped speaker?

A speaker in my toyota started to rattle. Its an oem. I play my music a bit loud. But not crazy loud where you can hear it from the outside. Did the speaker pop/broken?
Instead of hearing bass, its a rattle.

It's likely the speaker but it could be a problem in another area instead, e.g. head unit, amplifier (if equipped), wiring harness (loose connector, bad wires). Are you equipped to go in and check some simple things, like loose connectors? If not you'll need to either find a buddy or take it to a shop to have it looked at.

It could even caused by the woofer hitting something else, such as the door panel or the speaker cover if in the back deck. IF it's a door speaker, start by takign the panel off and observing it make the noise... Check the connections and go from there.

If it rattles (muddy sound) on bass notes especially at high volumes I would say the speaker is blown.
