I'll be quick and sweet.

If you look up in the sticky section...you can see that your engine should be insured to 100k miles and 8 years.

That warranty is bullshit. Thx k.

I get letters like that periodically, and my car is still under warranty. Just a rip-off artist looking up registration data and hoping to catch a sucker.

I Bought a 2004 RX-8 in mar. 2008 and the full factory warranty expired in Feb. 2008. I'm still under 50K mi. Does anyone know of another reputable extended warranty i can buy that will cover more than the engine/components? I can't get the Mazda ext warranty.

none, cuz all other ones are scams.

Even Mazda's own warranty could end up as a scam, cuz it really depends what kind of dealership you go to.

I get those things constantly... from the first week i had the rx8, and for months after i sold my last car.

Although i did buy one 2yr/24k warranty on my protege when it hit 80k, i blew the engine at 86k, and it covered a new reman engine and labor. I paid 115$ for fluids and a new belt, the rest was covered. So dont say no right away, just l2 common sense, and read EVERYTHING.

I remembered buying an extended warrenty for my Eclipse back in the day. I must've paid over 3500 after all the finance charges. It covered the the power train up 100K miles. The engine spun a rod bearing at 101K miles. True story.
