Hey guys I need some help. When I was installing my Tein Hood dampers, I overtightened the ball joint bolt and it snapped. Where can I get a replacement besides Tein? Are they a universal size or is it custom? I plan on contacting Tein for the part but wanted to see if there is a cheaper and easier alternative. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

 

man ... the same thing happened to me the first time i installed,,, I went back and read the direction sand there it was a torque spec,,, whod a thunk it...Luckily the shop I go to is a Tein distributor and they swapped the enitre kit and ordered a new one and charged me just for the ball socket... I would just be patient and order a new one, If you had another type it might offset the hight as well as look funny,,, sorry man that blows,,, been there, done that.. GL

You have to contact one of the vendors on Tein's website?

 

I remember sweating about losing one or more of the clips when I assembled mine. fortunately everything went in without issue.
