TPMS wont turn off after accident.

Last month i had my first accident, and it was similar to the one found in this thread. https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...light=accident. I just got my car back and the tpms light is lit on the dash. I checked air pressure in all my tires but the light wont go away. Was something hooked up wrong. Anyone know of a fix or do i have to go to the dealer?

First, double-check the tire pressure with a good gauge. Pressure should be about 32psi. Then go to the Tires and Wheels section of your owners manual and read about sensor signal code registration. Try that procedure and if that doesn't correct the problem, a wheel sensor may have been damaged in the accident. Also, if the sensor in the wheel was replaced with a new sensor during repairs, it has to be registered as in the owners manual procedure.
