Non SCCA sanctioned AutoX Events in Socal?

hey guys, i really want to go autocrossing sometime soon, but my local region socal solo2 only has about 1 event every month i believe, and their december autox event is already sold out. i would like to particate in an autox style of event even if it is not SCCA sancitoned. does anbody know any places that hold them in the orange county/los angeles area? if so, please let me know. thanks.

Personally, I don't know.

However, there's a group that does autox like events in AZ, with autox like prices, and you don't have to work!!!

If somebody is not doing this in CA, they SHOULD!!!!!!!!

In Way East SD there is Holtville raceway and we go out there every so often. It is $40 no tech. It is an old airfield coned off for us to use. The temp has dropped enough to make a trip soon io think. SPD racing has an RX-8 and a few 7's and assorted Mazda's including mine which might be interested. If you want to try and set something up contact Seth or Chris @ SPD (760)-788-9842 tell em Kyle sent you. Hope to set up a event soon.

It is not sold out - at every SoCal solo2 championship event you register at the morning when you arrive at the event. Just show up on Dec 14th and no one will return you back. There is no pre-registration.

The practices are another thing though - they are for the folks who have points cards and compete the whole year. This is where they practice for the Sunday events.

Just show up at the Dec14th event and have fun
