my buddy in the passenger seat used a stopwatch. now i know its not as exact, but still.

27k miles. bought it used at like 24k, i think a woman owned it before (frowns) so i seriously doubt anything but oil and tires has been changed.

its funny that you ask because we did the first run with the paddles, and i couldnt believe it. so i figured id try it in auto, and we got roughly the same time.

I would get 7.2 0-60. that was BEFORE FI.
Now it's 6.7 with Fi or somewhere around that area.

mine about 9.0 sec using 18" dark chorm stock wheels, and a borla exhaust
around 8~8.5 after putting in a mazdaspeed intake and 18" Enkei RPF1 rims
but no matter how fast or how slow for straight road, the 8 is born for corners

Man that is slow. Mines got 34k and I bought her with 24k and crammed the miles on. Pretty sure I need new plugs and wires. But I definitely do it 2-3 seconds faster then you. I've timed it at 7.5 - 8 seconds, and **** I've already beaten cards that I know their timing is way better then that.

Just tonight I was ****** around with a buddy in his new turbo's wrx 5 speed and goin from a 30 mph roll he didnt have anything on me whatsoever.

I dunno, Im totally not trippin about times. My previous car was a mazda 6i with an auto and it did 0-60 better then that....

StevieD561 actually 16' make a difference... anyway is it fully stock or any other mods? cause philipchan run better with his 18' stock+borla exhaust and 18' Enkei+mazdaspeed intake+borla exhaust which really makes a difference too.. hope yours not fully stock..

You think that time is because it's a 4-port? You're not all that bright are you?

some factors to consider

-you had a passenger
-did you launch? (break launch/neutral launch) or was it from a dead stop
-what octane gas were you using?
-what was the amb temp?
-when was your last oil change?
-have you checked your coils/plugs/wires?

i tested mine for the past three days and never got over 10, even from a dead stop. It was about 105 degrees and running on sh1tty arco gas with my heavy *** xxr's (~25lbs each). i say get it checked out.

I think a 0-60 video thread would be interesting.

Sure it wouldn't be perfect, but I don't think it'd be "promoting" anything street racing oriented.

But I mean a video of the stretch of road, the location, the temperature, the year / vin of the car, and any mods would be really neat.

I think it'd really show the varying differences.

Maybe it's a bad idea...I dunno lol
