this just doesn't seem right. i thought the 4ports were a bit quicker than this.

My AT is also high 7s to 8 second range in the 0-60s. I also had my rev limit extended to 8500 RPM.
You have to switch to manual mode and know how to brake launch your AT at the start. Having a higher rev limit for the AT, also allows for quicker times.
Another trick I learned is to rev the engine several times, and then go for the brake launch. Seems to keep me in the high 7s.
In full automatic mode, and with no modifications, you can expect to get 9 to 10 second times.
The 11+ second time seems indicative of full automatic, no brake launch, no modifications, possible full fuel tank, possible bad tires, and maybe a slower than average automatic with some possible issues.

You just have to keep tweaking the car, regardless of it being an Auto, you will get better performance.
Oh, that is under 8, by the way.... I can run 7s.
One day, I might be overtaken by my temptation to launch at 5,000 RPMs from neutral... Nah... Just hoping there is a better solution... Wish somebody would make a cheap (I know, outrageous) automatic transmission solution. However, I'm about ready for FI though... Just seeing who will give me the best low end and still breathe up top.

With the rev limit increased to 8500, you then focus on that one shift at the right point.
This is also why going FI with a 4 speed is interesting.
Have you had any problems with it shifting that high up? Wonder if your RedLine and ATF cooler has anything to do with it being ok?
What did you use to tune it? I have a JDM 4 speed and I was wondering how to do that.
I'll post a video of me doing it soon...with the flataway ahead of me.
It involves:
DSC/TC off
Brake Launch
New Plugs, wires, coils - possibly additional tuning & maintenance
Warmed up engine
Proper elevation / temperature
Without this imo, our cars just do not have the whp to obtain 0-60 7-8 seconds stock.

Also The transmission at the proper temp helps
Oh BTW,
I did a 0-60 with the AP now having FI the elapsed time was 6.7. I ran out of speed limit and road to do a 1/4 mi run.

My times are getting worse probably lol...I think its because my sparkplugs are almost 46k miles old. It still feels pretty good actually. Once I get my maintenance said and done, and get everything taken care of I'm confident she's got the same juice in her. CobbAP will help too...lol
Actually with that video pretty much everything was out of wack.
Tire pressures off, bent wheel, dsc/traction on, hot day, ac blowing, plugs my plugs, coils/whatever else needs replaced. Im hopeful once I get this sorted out she'll be a bit more peppy.

i've launched at 5000 rpm. it jumps hard then the car automatically disconnects the tranny to keep u from killin it. so it wont work. I've even tried with 3k and it did the same thing
and do you think it's gonna a little bit faster if my 6 speed AT is equiiped with the turbo?
i know silly question.
I tried it yesterday with my 04 JDM AT and I got about 8 seconds, and that was with 90 octane gas that was mixed with 87 octane gas and two stroke oil because the idiot at the gas station wasn't listening.
Here's the Vid, I did a brake lauch which is why you see it start at 1KMh
