Rear Windshield Seal Replacement..?

Rear Windshield Seal Replacement..?
To those that have had the dealership replace the rear windhield seal to fix the notorious rattle...
1. How did you convince the dealer that that was indeed the problem?
2. How did the dealership determine that that was the problem? (kinda like #1)
3. Has the replacement fixed the issue?
At this point, I have removed my entire rear interior in a "process of elimination", and the rattle is still there.
This leaves little doubt to me that it's the seal as has been for several others.
PLEASE. Someone help me.
