Ok i got my rx8 2 months ago about 1 month ago i was driving and the drivers side area became super heated and the low coolent light came on so i took it to mazda they added 16 oz of coolent and did the pmc recall upgrade . 1 week later the car starts shaking shutting off check eng light falshing and a little bit of white smoke out the pipes could not drive it had it towed to mazda again they said all plugs are fowled so 370 new plugs! did not even get out of parking lot ck eng light still on running rough so i being sooooo pissed said the car is not fixed its running rough and the ck eng light is still on??? again well check it and see whats the prob. so now need enigition coils 200 bucks i did not have it cause i just gave the punks 370 not alot to others but to me it is for a car iv had 2mts and only in my poss 1 month so i freak out ! the say well help you keep the used coils we tested it with at no charge but we dont know how long they last or pay 200 so i kept them i dont have it right now well again 1 week ck eng light on and i dont know what to do. no used car law in arkansas and im a single parent i dont have lots to put in to this car. i thought id have a minut before id have to do eng work. any one have any of the same issues to offer advise thanks bunches

Does not cover plugs n coils just found out i now need a calatic converter Mazda wanted to charge me over 2K i about sh*t my self lol but i did reasearch and found out there is a 8year 80,000 mile EPA warranty mazda did not tell me about so for any of you that dont know look up the epa emissions warranty its something the dealer snakes will not tell you ! it covers alot of problems. I hope this fixes my car problem if not Theatomicbrunette

you sound young so you got ripped off, big time.

Right after you drove out the lot (and ur problem did not fix) you should ask for a refund on ur plugs because that obviously was NOT the cause and they just bullshit you, you're protected under consumer affair laws. You might want to check.

and yes I think 99.9999995% of the users on the forum knows that Emission Warranty is 80,000 miles / 8 Years.

For your reference : Brand new Plugs all 4 could be found online around 80 bux, 4 Brand new Coils about 100, Brand new Mazda CAT cost like 1200~1300

When writing into a forum to ask questions, it's always helpful if the person or persons on the other end can actually read what the issue is.

All that being said, I think you should locate another dealer. I wouldn't go back there at all.......ever.

I'm assuming you bought this car used? It has nothing to do with your issue(s), but you should read your manual if you haven't done so, and continue to poke around here and learn what you can.
