I was participating in a sort of "open garage" day at a local community college and we were working on dismounting a set of Falken Azenis RT-615's and managed to do some damage to one of them.

Anybody got any idea if these will hold air again and if they will if driving on them would be suicide?

I'd like to sell the four of them but I want to know if I can do so in good-conscience or if I should just take this one to a tire shop and pay the disposal fee.

 

I work at Goodyear (Sales Manager) and I wouldn't put that on a car. However if you mount it up and it holds air you'll probably be fine... honestly I've seen worse. The bead itself doesn't look damaged so it'll probably seal. Just throw some bead-sealer (liquid latex) on there and mount it up. If it holds air just state that it does.

 

i dunno man, if it holds air and by chance ur driving around and the tire pops ull either get into an accident, blow the tire, or blow the tire and damage the wheel not a chance worth takin imo

 

wouldnt take a a bit of a chance....especially since its TIRES....be cheap or die. lol
