You do realize that $105 a night is the regular rate for that weekend, right?
Might want to negotiate a bit before people start throwing money at them.

It's probably my mistake of saying there's a discount involved (edited my original post), when in actuality the Doubletree is just reserving a "block" of rooms for SSXI. Will keep you all updated if I hear any different.

 

Yeah, if you just call them, they will book for any shmoe at $105.
Even the popular sites will book for $109.
I'd say $4 a night isn't much of a discount.
We should see rates in the $95 a night range.

I don't want to step on anyone's toes, but if I can be of any assistance in bullying the corporate marketing director at the Doubletree, let me know!

You will have to book it yourself.
Of course, you only live a few miles away, so unless you are just looking to get away from your wife, its probably a waste of cash!

 

I just checked

Expedia can book it for 110 per night, but they will give you a 50 dollars gas Master card , plus a lot more points if you are a thankyounetwork member (AKA citibank card members, like me)

so ... Im going to expedia.

but now Im waiting and see if I can go. if gas price drop back to around 3 bux range (now its at 4.11). I think I will go, cuz Im thinking of driving it over. Anybody wanna hop onto my car maybe we can share gas cost ? (or drive ur car and share gas cost) Start from NYC.
