Cool Swap OE Spoiler with MS

I would like to swap my current spoiler with the mazdaspeed version, but i'm not sure if its possible?

I don't remember, but I believe the guy who installed my current spoiler told me it was drilled into the trunk and then glued down. Does that mean I would have extra holes just sitting out in the open if I try to put on the MS version? Or do they use the same holes and I could just place the new one over the old installation site. If anyone has done this, or knows anything about it, it would be helpfull. Thank you!

I've been thinking about doing the same thing myself...

From what others have posted on this site, the Mazdaspeed wing uses two of the three holes (per side) that the OEM wing uses. The third, unused, hole is covered up by the lower part of the MS wing. I haven't heard of the OEM wing being glued down, but some people have reported having some minor scuff marks where the MS wing doesn't cover where the OEM wing sat on the trunk. Further, the OEM hole placement isn't always perfect for the MS wing, causing a small gap at the back part of the trunk.

Hope this helps!

yes it is possible as the mazdaspeed uses the same holes as the oem spoiler.. however, depending on how long you had the oem spoiler on you will see some scuff or imprint marks on your trunk since the mazdaspeed spoiler doesn't cover entire area the oem did.
