What do you guys think about this deal

http://www.tyronesquaremazda.com/inv...dinventory.jsp

search for mazda- rx8. there will be an 07 touring.

Im going to return my 04 tomorrow, and im considering an 07 since it seems that most of the issues were resolved by that year. What do you guys think about the price? The man told me that he can get me out the door with zero cash out of pocket for around 23,020 but im sure i can get him to go to around 22,500 once he see's my credit application is legit.

My reasons for considering the 07':

It only has 10k miles, so the 50k factory warranty is still valid for 40k more miles.
Nearing the 50k mile point i can extend the warranty to 100k giving me a total of 90k miles covered under warranty which would give me plenty of time to pay the car off and still be under warranty.

What do you guys think?

Well, i did alot of searching on this forum, and most members reccomend 06+ due to the 04/05 being the first models.

And since i paid 20k for my 04' i think taht if i can get an 07 for 2 or 3 grand more but with much lower miles and a much longer warranty its a win win situation. for my 04' it was 14,900 for the car, plus 3k warranty, 750 gap insurance and tax an all that brought it to 20k. this guy is saying 23k out the door, so it seems like its a smart move.

If you negotiate well you should be able to get a car such as this for around 18k.

Keep in mind that there was a time (might still be possible but I don't think so) to get a brand new RX-8 for 8k under MSRP. People were getting touring models for low 20's fairly easy.

It's got 10k on it. You can get it for less.

I just got a new 2007 Touring for $25k. And I probably could have done better if I pushed it.

You should be able to get a used one for under $20K.

If you fiancee's uncle is a fiance manager then you should ask him how to purchase a car. Used cars are easier to buy than new cars. When you go to the dealership ask how long the car has been on the lot. Look for pink dots, stars, or any markings on the tops of the windshield. That tells you a specific amount of time the car has been there. Anything over 30 days the car needs to go. It's considered a stale vehicle. Beleive it or not but dealerships work on numbers more than actual sale figures. Dealerships dont get that much money from car sales rather than bonuses for number of vehicles moved. If you want to steal this car do some research on how to buy a used car. It will help you a lot. Good luck and dont be afraid to walk away. There are plenty of them out there. Hell if all else fails look in the autotrader like Ike posted or go the for sale section here.
