Maybe I am stubborn, hardheaded as my girlfriend calls it, or just plain dumb, but I want to run my Rx8 in STU again this year. I did last year and won our local region based on showing up, more so than winning. At any rate, I know about Team's well-funded and put-together effort last year and the results.

My question revolves around coilover options. I currently have Tein Flex, not the best but the price was right. If I want a setup I can "compete" in and still drive about 10k per year I see my options as, Kw 3 or perhaps Ohlins Dfv. I like the double adj aspect of Kw but the progressive rear spring is a ? Ohlins makes quality gear, however, at 2995 why wouldn't I just go for Koni 2812? Can I drive 10k on Konis without a couple rebuilds?

Any opinions besides jump in the crowded BS pool?

 

I put 60k+ miles on the TC Kline Konis on my E36, and they are good to go. No leaks, still work well.
