For those people in Northern California/ Bay area who have never been to Thunderhill, it is a great track for drivers of all experiance levels.

Does the SAMOA track day have instructors available? I want to take my wife and her new 328I to the track but she would need an instructor to get her to safely push the car.

Since we only put this event on once a year, we don't have a group of pre-qualified instructors like Bonni and some other groups have, and adding a novice group would have just presented some unacceptable risks for all concerned. Maybe next year we will make some kind of reciprocal arrangement with those other groups.

Oh well, I might sign up and go by myself. For $235 that is a lot of track time and with 25-30 cars per group the track should be fairly open. Sounds like a blast.

Highway8, a great event to get your wife some instruction would be at the TEAM Racing event on April 4th. at Thunderhill. Bonni puts on a good, safe trackday with excellent instructors.

Ron- Thanks, that looks great. I have been checking out the Hooked on driving schedule as well. Just trying to find to find a day that works with our schedule.

 

Hooked on Driving has donated 2 free track days to our raffle. NASA has donated 5. Bonni (TEAM Racing) has donated 2. You could win a couple year's worth of free track days.

The Got Gots event at thunderhill was great. Only 3 RX8's out there which was disapointing. The weather was great and I had a total of 2.5 Hours of quality track time for $235. The best deal I have found so far.
