trunk well amp mount
I have read a few posts about this topic but no one has really answered the question that has been posed a few times now. What are the dimensions of that sunken (false) floor in the trunk?
My plan right now is to mount a 1000 watt kenwood down there with a monster cap sitting next to it. I am thinking a piece of .5 inch plywood, couple of computer fans and some plexiglass to top it all off.
But how big do I make the bottom wood piece and then how big do i cut the plexiglass piece. Any takers on this project?
Thanks in advance for the help

depending on the amp, that might be a tall order. My 1200 watt Kicker amp + Boss cap did not fit there. The amp sat just fine but the cap was the tricky part.
Granted, I was using the Mazda tray so if you built your own, it MIGHT fit. Problem were the fitting that held the cap.

ha that thing is huge. mine fits vertically on the left half of the cargo tray. I know this because that I have the cargo tray in their right now. It is too hot for the amp to sit in there. Thats why I am switching it up. Plus I want to make it look just slightly more professional.
Thanks for the reply though

that would be the obvious thought, but since I am so god awful at doing anything construction related I would rather someone tell me so I can just take it to home depot and say create this. If it were a square I am thinking I might be able to pull something off, but unfortunately its an oval.
