hey all just wondering the nsw number plates screw holes dont fit the rx8 do they?? did any ov use have to make your own holes as i did ??

 

G'day , I have personal plates, and needed to drill in new holes on the front grill...Although there are a few different markers on this grill for drilling the holes, if u look closely.

my front plate has an adaptor type thing that i chopped down to suit the slimline plates and fits fine, then rear plate however needed to be drilled so it would fit in the holes at the back

 

Be careful when removing the rear plates - the back of the screw fitting can drop out of the sleeve that it sits in and access is a bugger. Defeated several people, including the nimble fingers of a youngster, when it happened to me at the '06 Nats.

 

I had to get the drill out and drill new holes

 

never saw those holes ... damn did anyones else miss them too

 

in the black 'mesh' there are a few dimples, i think thats what he is talking about
