hi

i took my 8 out to get petrol tonite and noticed the passenger (uk car) side rear tail light led strips are not illuminated.

the drivers side ones are glowing red, and the indicator, brake light and reverse lights are all working on the tail lights, the leds aren't for the passenger one.

does anyone know a fix, as i dunno if you can replace the leds, or do i need to order a new tail light?

please could you advise me so i can get it sorted before cars mot on 20th march.

i dunno if that would fail the mot, as i think its a proper side light for the tail lights?

Check to make sure it is connected properly. Open your trunk take the trunk lining off and make sure all the connecters are snug.

thanks for getting back to me, i stopped at the dealers tonite and showed it to them. guy told me to phone their service mechanic and he'll arrange for the light to be looked at. they said they'll cover it under the warranty and order one if it is not working as it is part of the cluster.

taking a day off work as need to use up holidays and gonna check the plugs are in ok, as car did have the reverse sensors fitted at the dealership, so maybe a wire not connected properly? its too dark and wet/windy to check now so will have to wait.

besides that everything else fine, tried to red line a few times today, best i got was just near 8000rpm, car too damm fast and don't wanna break speed limits lol

but great fun to drive, economy not bad did 66 miles from the 3/4 mark to half mark on fuel guage.
