Well, I ordered my MS duel canister catback exhaust from finishline performance, Started it up( first thing i noticed was that there was no sound diffrence from stock) So, I said in my head, It needs to break in or somthing, Took it for a test drive. Absoluetly no sound diffrence, A few of my buddys have the same exhasut and theres are alot louder than the one i have. Is there anything wrong here? Anyhelp? And I am not exagerating about the sound. There is no diffrence from the stock one. Any help is apreciated.

well, I know its MS, Because one it was a 2 peice, 2, It said mazda speed, And 3, ON my recipt its purchased as MS duel canister, also, Its a duel canister

 

and it has the MS imprint on it.

does it look like this??? there are 2 mazdaspeed exhausts. if so i would pull the cat and look into it..

and you say it is quiet like the stock, do you mean at idle or at above 5 k rpm under load?

yes thats it the exact one i have makes like no sounds its not good compared to some iv seen.

 

no when i rev it, its not loud at at...its really DUD typa noise sounds like..quieter than stock dude

 

it sounds like its a deep gargle like somthing is clogged

and what is with multiple people on this forum making threads calling the MS exhaust a "duel" exhaust. nothing against you war crunk, it just happens to be the fourth or fifth thread with the same misspelling.

 

did you miss it the first time i wrote it??? take it out and look at it. or inside it..

have you seen a clog before? and yes bad gas mileage would be a symptom..

yea well at the time when i had put it on, I noticed that it wasnt what i though it was untill tested it, and then realized that something was wrong.

or are you just going to assume it is clogged and buy a midpipe?

well, here is my update, My fellow breatherans( you guys suggested to check the cat) Well i checked the cat, and the **** was CLOGGED. You shoulda seen the **** coming outa there. I didnt belive it cuz i called my dealer and they checked it on a recal about a year or two ago. Well, It was clogged and now its a free flow cat haha the exhaust sounds really good and loud!

 

You should have taken it to the dealer. CAT is free for the first 100k miles.
