Hello fellow Rx-8ers...

Hi everybody, long-time lurker and first time posting on the site.
My name is Leo and I've had my 2005 Brilliant Black Rx-8 GT (from Scarboro Mazda) new since August '05.
Born and raised in East York, but temporarily reside in Etobicoke.
I've had my fair share of bad luck with the car during ownership.

1) Rear-ended heading north on the DVP in April of 2006. (No injuries sustained only about $8500 in damage to car)

2) This past November my fuel gauge failed during driving. Dealership replaced fuel pump and fuel regulator (I think). Since the repairs, i've noticed the gauge is not as accurate as before. Also my CEL lit up a few weeks ago, so I've been driving around with it on until I can find time to visit service dept to clear it.

Other than that, I still love the car and still have a smile on my face evertime I driver her.

Just wondering if anybody else has had a malfuntioning fuel gauge?
My apologies for the long post. Cheers...

Fuel gauge problem I would suspect is fallout from the accident or induced by the repairs from the accident.

You should come to the next 400&7 meet at D&B .. I can read/clear the code for you.

Welcome to posting!

Visit this thread and add yourself to the list https://www.rx8club.com/canada-forum-35/gta-roll-call-130278/

I've never heard of that problem but crash damage sounds likely

Check out the Scan Gauge II if you want to be able to read your own codes and have accurate fuel readings. https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-aftermarket-performance-modifications-23/scangaugeii-review-105834/
