Few things, couple of good write ups particularly compared to Tiens which were my other real choice. I didn't want springs that were to hard, these are a modest step up from the OEM at teh base setting.

Wanted the ability to retain height. Have Gram lights with aggressive offset and didn't want to have to roll guards. Might still do that but wanted the flexibility. Quite a few of the spring/shock options generated large ride height drops.

Originally considered RB Springs and Koni's, to retain height but cost ended up completely OTT.

Brand has some history and while not strong in Aus is relatively easy to get parts for. (And i like to be different!)

The guys thought about the RX8 and these come standard with little extra's like remote cables for the rear shocks for adjustment and are not "extras".
Bout it, probably get around to fitting over the xmas break....review to come.

I was running the JIC FLT A2's on the MX5. They were fantastic. Pretty good on the road and not too harsh and brilliant on the track!

Mikey, good stuff mate. How come you order from JIC USA instead of Japan?

Also, a lesson I learn recently if you are going to set them up yourself. Play around with pretension. As a minimum you want 1", any less and the spring can rattle when unsprung at high speed. Apart from the annoyance, you can damage the perch. Also, to much pretension and you get cunking sounds when you hit uneven road.

Also, small pretension leads to a bouncy ride, while large amounts of pretension a stiffer ride.

Hope that helps.

Cheers

Andrew

they sound good.

I'm also worried about the harsh ride that Japanese shocks are famous for. I travel on some really rough and uneven roads and super stiff shocks and springs just aren't right for them.

Don't coilovers come pre-loaded and the perch should not be adjusted at all. Only the whole shock itself for height?

Some may, but I woudnt buy them of they did. The ability to play with pretension is one of the great things about most coilovers...imho.
