Re-tune the De-tune?
Hi all,
I have a 2007 semi-automatic RX8 factory de-tuned to 141kw. Can it be re-tuned up to the 170kw the manual enjoys? Will there be any adverse affects on the transmission / gearbox?

Sorry, no.
It has fewer intake ports, and is rev limited.
The torque convertor would fly to bits if the engine went 10,000rpm like the manual.
A turbo-charger could go a long way to raising its power......
