Strange noise

Okay I'm having an issue. Anytime im driving down a road, i hear a ratteling noise coming from the engine. it sounds like an exhaust on a ricer. Everybody I have talked to that has heard me driving from outside my car say it sounds like it is grinding I've taking it to the shop 6 or 7 times for the same thing but they keep replacing stuff that doesn't fix it. Now they are saying it is a valve heater coil that isn't working. I've been waiting for weeks but the parts are on backorder.

Any ideas on the noise??? and what should I do if the shop can't find it,,, they are grasping at straws here and driving the car is almost embarasing because of the noise

Try putting only super premium gas in. I had the same problem could have sworn it was a tranny issue or something grinding but after I starting putting super premium it fixed the issue.

All i use is 93+ octane. It's not a knocking and its definitily not in the tranny. It's coming from the engine. It seems if you drive at lets say 6K rpm in first and just drive like that for a few seconds, the noise starts it sounds like a very high pitched vibration from inside the car. Very very annoying. More so than the rattles from the doors

Marbles In A Can video

Yes, thanks again for the link to the video clip! I have about 25000 miles on my '06 and I just now noticed this in the past couple of thousand miles. I wondered if the winter had anything to do with it.

One more thing to get paranoid about! Yay!

I too have a strange sound. but it is not at higher RPMs as it is almost the entire range. It sounds like something moving through the pipes in the engine. It does NOT sound like the marbles in a can like the video showed. I maybe thought it could be time for a coolant flush. Any thoughts on that?
