Hi does anybody know where to find a video, sound clip, review of the single exhaust/muffler (JDM)MS exhaust for the 8 ? I've searched and all the results are about the dual exhaust one (USDM spec/made) one.. thanks ~

as far as i know.. the MS one has 65mm mid pipe like the HKS ones and is much cheaper.. and I prefer stock exhaust TIP size.. those huge *** ones r too much for me.. beside i believe n/a car dont need those huge *** ones..if cant find any info.. i guess i will have to settle with HKS legamax Premium thanks ~

I've got one, no sound clips though. Sounds like an F355 while zoom zooming through tunnels. Not loud at all and kinda burbly at idle like my old WRX with a Prodrive exhaust.

Are you talking about a single muffler or a single outlet?

The first MS exhaust was a single muffler design, not unlike the OEM one, while the second one was a dual muffler. The MazdaUSA mazdaspeed site still has the first one
listed in it's inventory.

 

savedsol: please make a sound clip.. a decent quality one ! and put it on u tube.. u will be the only one with the single muffler video !!!


I am referring to Japan Mazdaspeed ("the real one").. single muffler with dual tip outlet. While as far as I know dual muffler with dual tip is the Mazdaspeed USA.....


I think Mazdaspeed USA also made a different front struct for US too.. which is the thick carbon fibre two point struct..while the Japan Mazdaspeed (original !!) is the 4 point struct aluminum one

I think (maybe) the reason why not a lot bothered with the single canister/dual outlet MS exhaust is because it's almost like the OEM one? I certainly thought so, and opted to get the Legamax.

 

ahh boo! I thought this was about a single muffler, single outlet exhaust by mazdaspeed.

Rotalution, the exhaust is very similar to stock from what ive read on the forums. Real quiet as well. If thats what you're looking for then great.

 

When Mazda released it they said it was for sound only - no power increase. Bought my car used and it was already on it. I'll see if I can make a clip soon.
