Slow Puncture

It appears I've got a slow puncutre, takes 3-4 days before the TPMS light comes back on again.

So, I'm hoping I'm going to be able get it patched, but if I'm correct then I can only do this if the puncture is not on a sidewall?

Assuming the worst and it is on the sidewall, how many tires do I need to replace? All four tires are identical and have about 50% wear.

I guess i've got the option of replacing one, two or four, but I'm not sure which is recommended (obviously cheaper is better!)

I had a very strange slow leak for a while, It only seemed to happen at 80mph+ speeds. I figured something was happening as the pressure/heat rose that opened the leak.

I would dunk the tire and find no leaks. Later it was determined that the valve wasnt screwed on tight on the tire. worked fine since.

If you end up having to replace the tire, one cheap option that will give you four tires having about the same wear: go to "Part For Sale/Wanted" and find someone selling their original tires with about the same amount of miles on 'em as you have on yours. Anyone selling their original Potenzas with 50% wear will be selling 'em for next to nothing.

I had a puncture last summer and found someone selling their Potenzas with 6,000 miles on 'em—the mileage I had on my three other tires. Bought it for around $100. Way less than a new one, and matched to my other three.

If they're 18's I actually have two potenzas that probably have 35% tread left or so. You're welcome to one if you want to pay just enough to ship them and buy me a six pack..

Thanks for the offer, very generous.

I just measured my current tread depth and it's about 7/32". I guess yours would be a little less than this? I dont think I want to buy a tire with less tread as it'll mean I need to replace them all a little to early.

Let me know if they're similar.
Thanks.
