I was doing a bit of research and reading up on aftermarket sunroofs. I found a beautiful RX8 that i would love to buy but doesnt have a sunroof.

I was curious whether there are any good aftermarket sunroof installers in the Toronto, Ontario area?

Or is this even possible/recommended?

 

Based on what I've read here, it's not a good idea. As I recall, some feel it's a difficult job because of the 8's unusual body design with no 'B' pillar, making the roof especially tricky to modify. I think that's why the Mazda sunroof is so small.

I wouldn't risk it.

very bad idea to get an aftermarket sunroof...you will lose the cars rigidity and it will not be safe to drive

 

imo, the sunroof doesnt really do anything and isnt worth the lower headroom.

but my previous car was a convertible. so i may be biased.

 

The sunroof is a pretty big thing for me. Im used to having one, and the summer times would be awesome to have it. Eee im sitting on the fence on this one, the car is a beauty but the sunroof is such a huge thing for me....

 

You might want to check out a thread I made a few months back.. There's some guy who actually has an aftermarket sunroof and everything went well. I'm still having doubts though.
