Id there a difference in engines with the shinka and the regular rx8's?? I have test driven a few when i purchased mine and i felt like there was. I havent had the time to look into everything yet but i was hoping some of you could shed some light.

I'm getting a new engine and i asked the tech about differences and he said there was none except suspension but i he didnt sound too confident. I could have sworn i read something where shinka has more HP but I could have been out of my mind. Thanks!

 

There's no engine changes. Shinka roughly translates into english as "special seats"

 

well, it's a context word, some times it means "special paint" or in some situations, both

 

but the seats are awesome!! lol...

It's the same motor. The only differences are the colors on the interior and exterior and something about foam filled suspension components or something.
