With some luck and a prayer, I'll hopefully be part of the crowd at Sevenstock this year! I can't wait. I'm booking my flights now (unfortunately, I'm in Colorado and my 8's in Ohio). To make it happen, however, I'm going to need a little help from some folks here on RX8Club. Here's what I need:

First off, some information:

How far is Orange County/Santa Ana John Wayne (SNA) airport from Irvine? Do you recommend using this airport?

I know the Doubletree is the official hotel, so I'm booking a room there. Can I get the SSX rate through travelocity? Does anyone know?

The other thing I'll be needing is transportation. I'd be forever in debt to anyone who could pick me up from the airport (SNA unless someone tells me different) at 7pm and ferry me to the Doubletree. Or maybe they have a shuttle? Please let me know. I don't know if the festivities continue into the evening at SSX, but if so, it'd be great to have a ride there as well. In return, I'm offering to pay for gas and to shamelessly flatter your car.

Irvine is literally across the street from the John Wayne airport - so you're definately in the right spot - i know because i work in the building you fly over when you land - slight issue tho (nothing big) is that 7stock will be held practically on the other side of irvine

and yes, i highly recommend john wayne air port if you're going to fly in for 7stock - i have flown out of there once a month for the past year...once you get the hang of the layout it's very easy to get your bags, thru security and out in no time -

they also have (i think) it's a hertz rent a car available right where you pick up your bags - and there are shuttles around - however i'm not sure how far they go - which doubletree were you going to stay?

as far as a possible shuttle to the doubletree and to the event - I'm sorry but i may have my hands full that day for i may not stay until the night. Maybe a one way trip if anything...

Thanks, Atilla! Unfortunately Hertz won't be an option, as I'm in that troublesome under-25 insurance bracket. I'm staying at the Doubletree where the banquet is being held (my ticket for that is on the way), and I hear they have a shuttle, so that takes care of that problem provided they still run @ 7pm.
