Thumbs up Lawell Motorsports

I recently had some Eibach springs installed to lower my "on stilts, especially on the front" 2004 RX 8. I have aftermarket wheels on my car, 19" x 9.5" in the rear.

Of course, I had some clearance issues and my car turned into a noisy, rattle machine, especially with my two kids in the back seats.

I made contact with a local "muscle" car shop and spokek to the owner on the phone for about 10 minutes explaining my problem. He stated that he has a fender roller device and can fix it, no problem. At the end of our conversation, he asks, " what kinda car are you driving?". I replied, Mazda RX 8, and he said, "sorry, I don't work on rice".

Needless to say, I was kinda pissed.

I then found some info on a S2000 forum about a shop in Houston, Lawell Motorsports. I called them and they stated they could roll my fenders. I drove down there, I live in the Conroe area, and in less than 30 minutes, my problem was completely solved.

The shop specializes in European cars, especially Porsches, but did the work and complemented me on my car.

If anybody needs there fender rolled, I highly recommend Lawell Motorsports. The are located about a block from Bissonett in southwest Houston.

Glad to hear a shop that steps out of their normal line of work to help out an enthusiast. The North TX S2000 club that I'm a part of actually has our own fender roller so if anyone in DFW needs to get theirs done we can do it for a fee...j/k
