Whats up guys. Im getting my 04 RX-8 MT probably on monday or tuesday. I just wanted to say whats up. And i have been searching around for known problems with the RX8 and the only one i kept running into was the flooding problem. Now is this a major problem where i would have to take it to the dealership to take care of? (If it happens all the time). And i came across this one that says this guy had to keep adding oil for some reason? whats up with that? Thanks.

Yes the rotary will burn oil. There is 1.8qt between the "L" and "H" on the dip-stick. The oil is injected into the engine so if it is not burning oil then you are in trouble. Some people pre-mix 4-6ozs of it in every tank. Keep your revs up for power and down for gas mileage..

 

26,000 miles on an 04 is great. i think the average mileage for a daily driver in a year is like 15,000 a year.
