The 2008 will be pretty much the same as the 07....Maybe an extra color or something.....

For 2009, there will be some re-design in the interior (at least in the center stack area) and the exterior might get a new facia, etc.... I am not sure about powertrain..

I think it will be back under a re-design in 09.
There is some re-design work going on for the center stack and some interior changes... I don't know about the exterior, and powertrain...

Don't expect much in the way of change for 2008.

I don't know if you've seen, but on mazda's website www.mazdausa.com, they have just released the mazda 2008 rx8 pricelist. I too have been looking for a "what's new for 2008" page on the web for the 2008 model, but it doesn't seem to be available yet. The pricelist is the first mention I have found from any reputable page about it and it doesn't say much. I just ordered my rx8 from the factory in April and they said it will be a 2008 and be delivered in Aug-Sept so hopefully we'll hear more soon.

yeah, the only problem is that the only Hydrogen Fueling stations are in California and New York.

Of course 50% of the new cars sold in the USA are sold in those and the other three CA emissions required states anyway.

On the order spec lists there are few changes. Phantom blue is gone. The navigation system is only available on the GT models.

At the top of the sheet it says that the info is preliminary data. So there may be changes.

By "order spec lists" do you mean when ordering a car at a dealer? Or is this something available at the Mazda website?

We will see an exterior upgrade before the end of the model lifespan as well as an OMP system change/upgrade. Not telling how I know this though. Then again, maybe I'm just making this all up to get people's hopes up! Hmmm???? I'll leave it at that.
