Bass controller for RF amp

Hello peoples,
Just wondering if anyone out there has installed a Rockford Fosgate amp to there bose system and had troubles with there bass controller. Mine doesnt work at all, and the gain on my amp is set quite high. Isnt that a bad thing?
Thanks in advance for your help

need to know a few things first. what LOC did you use to connect the amp to your system and where did you tap in? and what does your amp sound like with the bass remote unplugged? maybe you have a bad connection or remote?

i havnt unpluged the remote, didnt think of that lol. i dont think that its the connection (hope not coz i cant be bothered to rewire a new one lol) because it is a 'click in' connector, but i dunno
i just used a converter that i found at all the audio shops here, nothing flash, tapped into the speakers just before it got to the bose amp

i read that the signal is all wierd after the amp, and most people tap into it before the amp. can anyone confirm?

oh and i took my bass controller out and no difference, only when i plugged it back in again there seemed to be a pop in the sub and obviously the light turned back on (on the controller)

you can tap in before or after the factory Bose amp. I personally am tapped in BEFORE, cause like you said, the Bose amp does some weird things... but its a LOT less powerfull than tapped in after

Normally the only reason a remote bass controller will not work is a faulty plug or wiring. The potentiometer (****) almost never goes out. Take the **** out, hook it to the amp w/ a new cable to verify.
