Enkei RPF1s mounted on 2005 Winning Blue GT

Finally took some pics of my '05 RX8 with the new RPF1s i purchased in april. These are 18x9.5 +45 all the way around. Lugs are autornd forged lugs. These are wrapped in General Exclaim UHP 245/40/18 tires, that stretched to the limit

The wheels look sick from the back of the car, really tough.

The center caps are some $50 Mota caps that i bought new from a ebay seller. I scratched them up to make the finish match a little better. Once i saw the wheels installed without the center caps, i wished i would of ordered the ENkei caps. But the wheels were already mounted, so i bought these Mota's that could be installed from the front.

Got the spoiler installed at the local dealership too. About $400 installed. Davis Moore in Wichita, KS are pretty good guys.

I've never kitted a car and I don't do custom paint, but I have a real thing for wide tires. I see other cars on the road and I check out how wide the rubber is in the back. The best shot is that first one with the wheel turned out. The tire runs all the way back into the wheel well. I can't wait to get a set of nice wide tires for my car. Necessary or not, I want more!

Nice.

Have you noticed and difference in steering response with such a wide front tire?

Thanks for all the positive comments! I really do like these wheels.

Bought the car used with 9k miles. Went from 26lb Exel wheels, that came with the car, to these that are about 17lbs i think. Seem that the suspension soaks up bumps on the road a little better. Maybe it is because there is less unsprung wait for it to handle.

The tires are obviously a little harder to spin at launch, which is great.

The steering feel is still good. The tires are just a little softer then the stock dunlops. Not that noticeable though. Big reason i went with these tires was that on my scion tc, they handles snow pretty well.

Im at 18k miles now, and have only had the car for about 9 months. My plan in 2-3 years is to super charge with either Petit or Axialflow, replace the suspension, and get some dedicated summer tires. Then i will use my old Exel wheel for dedicate winter tires.

Just need time to pay off some debts before i spend money like this.
