Screws for stock air dam same as the Appearance Pkg front lip spoiler?
Screws for stock air dam same as the Appearance Pkg front lip spoiler?
Are the screws used for stock air dam the same as the ones needed for the Appearance Pkg front lip spoiler?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Aren't the stock air dam and the front lip from the appearance package the exact same thing? Am I missing something here? I thought this was the same part, and was just referred to in both ways as above.

the app lip covers the stock setup.. uses the same mounting points..

humm.. If your car came with no "Appearance package front lip." the black plastiq lip does use the same nuts for the screws. You would need 6 more nuts for the screws on the appearance package lip. also you must drill 6 holes in the bumper to put on the front lip. The drill spots are marked on the back of the bumper.
Confused
Wow. I'm confused!
I'm going to quietly go hit the search features and try to discern the visual differences between these two parts. I don't recall seeing anything on the mazda parts websites about there being both a front "lip" and an air dam available for purchase. I have only seen the air dam, and thought some people on this board were referring to that part as a "lip".
I have a WB GT non-AP car, and I'm slowing trying to assemble the AP "on the cheap" by picking the parts up used here. What I'm lacking is the body colored piece that is currently black on my car on the bottom of the front bumper. I thought that was an air dam. But maybe a "lip" would suffice as well?
Anyway, I'll go search.....sorry for the thread jack!

if you look at the front of you stock car and look at this pic it should become clear....
it covers the stock stuff.. it is not lower, and used the same screws that hold the undertray on... how it attatches to the top has been described above...
